SHIPPING
For all in stock items, we pride ourselves on doing everything possible to ship orders within 1 business day (24-48 hours) of the order being placed. If your order is in stock, placed before 2pm on a weekday and manageable in size, we do our best to ship same day. Large orders, or those with multiple lines of wire to spool or products to pick and pack can certainly take longer.
Our preferred shipping carrier for both domestic and international orders is UPS. At checkout, you may select your preferred service type and benefit from our discounted shipping rates. Understand these selections are your choice as the customer.
Additionally, USPS Ground Advantage & Priority Mail is available for domestic addresses. USPS Mail service is only able to be insured to $50 USD of included coverage, by selecting this shipping method you acknowledge their terms and conditions and approve for your order to be shipped without additional insurance regardless of the order value. All shipping claims for USPS are the responsibility of the customer - we will not handle this if there is a damaged/lost package. We will assist where possible but you understand the risk is on you as our packages are shipped FOB Origin.
With prior arrangements made you may also provide your own DHL, FedEx, or UPS account number for us to ship collect with an additional packaging & handling fee. Fee will be based on size, weight and complexity of the shipment and is usually around $4.50 but could be as high as $15.
Lost or miss-delivered packages by any carrier are not the responsibility of Race Spec. We will do everything in our power to contact the proper agency and move forward the inquiry, insurance claim or re-direction in this instance but we are subject to the terms and conditions of the carrier YOU SELECT and choose at check-out.
If you want to add SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION or COMPLETE INSURANCE via the carrier of your choice prior to placing your order, you must confirm this with us and pay for the additional cost of these added services prior to your order being shipped out from our facility. Please leave notes in the COMMENTS box at checkout or reply to the email confirmation you receive once an order is placed online. Without adding these notes, you are authorizing us to ship all packages without additional insurance and you will accept responsibility for any replacement costs for lost or damaged products due to shipping errors.
International Customers (outside of the USA) understand and agree that they are responsible for any and all taxes, duties, import fees & charges incurred by importing a product from the US. Any orders placed on Race Spec's website will be valued at the actual item cost to the customer with appropriate HS CODES and classifications. Customer agrees that Race Spec cannot be responsible or know how much import fees or taxes may be in advance and they understand that the price of any item purchased on our website does not include any prepayment of these fees.
New 4/1/25 - IN STORE PICKUP
If you are local or semi-local, we now offer in store pickup. If you choose the IN STORE PICKUP option, this is ONLY for pickup. Do not select this option because there is no shipping cost. If you do, and then you ask us to ship a package, you will be charged the MAXIMUM FULL RETAIL/LIST Price of shipping, including insurance and a packaging and handling fee....NO EXCEPTIONS! There will be NO ORDER CANCELLATIONS OR REFUNDS on orders where the customer has selected in store pickup.
You must wait to come into our store until you receive the notification that your order is ready for pickup. Pickup is available only during the following business hours.
- Monday - 2pm until 4pm
- Tuesday - Noon until 4pm
- Wednesday - Noon until 4pm
- Thursday - Noon until 4pm
- Friday - NO ORDER PICKUPS
- Saturday - NO ORDER PICKUPS
- Sunday - NO ORDER PICKUPS
Additionally, SALES TAX will be calculated and corrected (if you do not live in NJ) on your order and all orders must be paid in FULL prior to us sending your "ready for pickup" notification. DO NOT SHOW UP UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THIS NOTIFICATION!!
