Refund policy

*** By checking out on our website and paying for your order, you agree to bound by the following return policies. ***

Due to the nature of our business, all of our items are brand new and considered first-hand unless otherwise indicated as you purchase online. Many of the codes of practice followed by ourselves and companies we supply will not allow for second-hand products to be used. For this reason, we do not accept returns/exchanges for any reason other than manufacturer defect or damage. If you're unsure of the product/configuration you need, please contact us prior to placing your order. In other words, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Damages or Defect Issues
 
There is always the chance that an item may arrive damaged, defective, or fail during normal operating conditions. If that's the case, please contact us within 3 business days of receiving your order so we can get the issue resolved efficiently.  You agree that any warranty claims will be determined by the manufacturer (not Race Spec) and you agree to accept their decision in all cases.  We will assist wherever possible but make no guarantees about products that we do not manufacture under the Race Spec brand.  Any warranty claims will require that you send in the product to us or to the manufacturer directly and Race Spec is not liable for any costs incurred to do so.  You also agree to follow our written instructions to help us pre-qualify if an issue occurs due to your misuse of the product as well.  There will always be troubleshooting needed before returning a product and if you refuse to follow our instructions, you agree there will be no refunds or warranty replacements in these cases.

You agree that those costs are your responsibility as the purchaser.  If your item was damaged during shipment, please retain ALL packaging and materials for a shipment claim.  You agree and understand that shipping damages are out of control of Race Spec and you will work with us and the shipping company to make the claim process smooth and we will do the same from our side.  While unfortunate and annoying, shipping claims occur and we are both in this together and you agree than any claims are the responsibility of the shipping carrier and you agree to abide by the shipping carrier's decision in this process.  Lost packages will ONLY be reimbursed by the minimum amount offered by the carrier unless you specifically requested in writing and paid additionally for complete insurance coverage and required signature fees.

Exchanges

In some instances, it may be possible to exchange items or leave a credit on file.  Please contact our sales team in writing to request an exception to our return policy.   Exchanges may incur a restocking fee that will be determined only after we receive a product back and can range from 0-40% depending on what item(s) are being exchanged.

Black Friday / Cyber Monday Sale Policy Updates

These policies supersede any other current Race Spec TOS for the dates of 11/23/24 through 12/01/24.  During this specific sale period we have done our best to provide our customers with value and deals.  While we have done our best to update the website with stock levels, free shipping offers and additional discounts on specific items we are human and can make mistakes.  If during the course of processing and fulfilling your order(s) that was(were) placed during this promotional period we discover a pricing error, stock discrepancy or a situation that would make a negative impact on our business that was not intended, we reserve the right to cancel & refund your order if you dislike the option(s) we communicate to you as a result of our error.  It is not our intent to deceive or mislead our customers so we will offer our best solution to any issues that may arrive. 

Any orders with FREE SHIPPING will be SHIPPED COMPLETE unless you contact us via email with details on items you absolutely need and the associated timelines.   Understand that any orders that may require more than one shipment to complete will be your responsibility to pay for any further shipments.  Please do not expect or become upset/angry with us if this does not meet your expectation as we are only communicating this using our written TOS here online.  Free Shipping incentives do not include ANY insurance other than the carrier included amounts and if any package is lost or damaged in transit you understand that Race Spec is not liable to replace or refund any amount in this scenario.  If you would to purchase additional insurance and/or any signature requirements prior to us shipping product to you, you must request this in writing either by indicating this in the COMMENTS section at checkout or by replying to your order confirmation email that is sent to you after placing your order.

Any shipping guarantees or timelines expressed by our shopping platform (Shopify) are suspended during this policy period.  Of course order volume is higher during this period and we will notify (email or phone) any customers of significant delays within 72 hours of the day we return from the holiday weekend (72 hours from 11/27/23).

As with our normal TOS, there are ZERO RETURNS OR REFUNDS once an order has been placed and completed on our website.  If you decide after placing an order that you would like to cancel your order, the ONLY resolution here is a store credit.  We will only refund items we cannot fulfill in a timely manner (10 business days).  Simply changing your mind is not a valid excuse for a refund and will not be honored.  Do not place and complete an order during this time frame if you do not agree to this policy.  There will also be no order additions or changes once you have placed an order online.  An additional order must be placed if you need additional items and those orders would incur shipping charges and or normal terms and conditions.
