A new Race Spec® exclusive, our MoTeC E888 Starter Loom resolves the uncertainty of integrating the tried and true E888 expander and it's wiring for your project.
The MoTeC E888 is an advanced CAN-based input/output expander compatible with MoTeC M800 ECU's, M1 ECU's, C125/C127/C1212 and C185/C187/C1812 display loggers, and certain ADL display loggers.
These are built with the same codes of practice and to the same standards we are known for but offer an entry level, DIY price point to get individuals started and able to build the rest specific to their project and setup.
The looms are fully-populated and provisioned for CAN 1, CAN 2, EGT 1-4, EGT 5-8, SPARE INPUTS 1, SPARE INPUTS 2, SPARE OUTPUTS 1, and SPARE OUTPUTS 2.
The EGT circuits are built with shielded thermocouple wire and the applicable alumel and chromel contacts are used as required. These are on shorter leads and terminated to DTM8 connectors to allow for users to integrate EGT sensors into their project without the added cost and mess of excessively long thermocouple leads that may never be used. EGT 1-4 are on a DTM8S and EGT 5-8 are on a DTM8P to avoid incorrect mating. The correct thermocouple wiring and contacts are costly, so we elected to have this be built with a 'add-on' approach.
Should you need to add integrate EGT sensors into your project simply contact us with the quantity of sensors, length, and if you want a bulkhead fitted and we will produce a solution specific to your application.
